A Week of Fun and New Friends

What a whirlwind of excitement! Mommy took a break from work, and with her friend visiting, the house was buzzing with energy. At first, I was a bit wary of the new face, and I admit, I let my nerves get the better of me and nipped her. But I quickly made amends with snuggles and kisses, especially after she gave me treats. I noticed she smelled like other fur babies, which made her my instant buddy. Sorry, Mommy, but I think I’m keeping her!

Lunch Outing Adventures
They took me along to lunch, and we sat outside. I soaked up all the attention from passersby while working hard to scavenge for crumbs. Mommy was a little frustrated when my leash got tangled around the table legs, but hey, those smells were just too tempting! I had to investigate, didn’t I?

Sneaky Snacker
On our way out, I saw my chance to be sneaky. While Mommy’s friend was walking me, I pretended to sniff around but actually snagged some gum off the sidewalk. Not sure what flavor it was—maybe “dirt” with a hint of mystery.

Home Alone (Sort Of)
They did leave me home alone for a bit, (my cat brother was with me, but he is anti social when strangers come to the house) but that’s okay. I got plenty of love while they were here, and they even brought me back a new toy! Which, of course, I promptly destroyed. Mom said this is why I can’t have anything nice. What does Mommy expect? Toys are meant to be played with!

Car Rides are the Best
Oh, and the car rides! I love them so much. I always make sure Mommy rolls down the window, no matter the weather. I might not always want to stick my head out, but the wind in my fur feels amazing!

Time to Rest
After all this fun, I’m feeling pretty worn out. I think I’ll take some vacation days—time to catch up on my beauty sleep!
