Closing out February

This week, I dedicated myself to important security duties—barking at every neighbor and delivery person who dared approach our territory. Mommy kept saying she appreciated the hard work I give to my job but that I needed to be quieter so she could work so my brother and I could keep living this cushy, high-maintenance life.
But it wasn’t all work for me! Mom took me on walks during lunch and after work, even in the rain. I still managed to see so many people, and she said I made folks smile—especially those who looked like they needed a little joy in their day. Mom always tells me how much love I have to give and share with everyone I come in contact with. I really loved the older gentleman that we met in the cold rain that stood when he saw me coming and waited to bend over to give me pets. I stood on my back legs trying to give him a kiss as a thank you for the head rubs.
Over the weekend, we went hiking on the trails and watched the sunrise. Mom took my picture at sunrise (which meant I had to sit still—ugh), but I made sure to give her plenty of side-eye to remind her I just wanted my biscuit. Luckily, after all the posing, she took me to Biscuitville for my much-deserved dog biscuit.
I can’t for the new adventures this week. Stay tuned…
